D11 Bogie Pin Hydraulic Remover
Custom tool designed by my client and certified by SEED Ltd. The tool is capable of 100,000lbs of force running at 10,000psi. It helps the maintenance operators to safely remove press-fit pins efficiently with ease.
Redesign of Tape Machine
One of our clients experienced significant issues with a newly purchased equipment that prevented reliable use in production. SEED was called and assessed the situation. We redesigned the roller sections of the equipment, which reduced product jams significantly and improved usability in production. We built prototypes in phases and assembled them on site using 3D Printing. This is still an ongoing project. More updates to come.

Standardization of Truck Layout
Another customer wants to standardize their future fleet of trucks all across Canada. SEED was engaged to review the requirement and develop a standardized layout solution. We provide drawings on the layout that they choose and want to adopt this layout on all of their future trucks.
980E Dump Body Block
Another project designed by my client and certified by SEED. This product is designed to be used on the 980E Komatsu mining truck when it is in the workshop. The tool is rated for 65 ton each. The main objective is to build as light as possible so the mechanics can carry it on the ladder. This tool weighs 32lbs compared to the original tool that weighs 64lbs.

Resolve Part Stuck Issue
This is another solution that we implemented on the machine to mitigate part getting stuck during production. We added an actuator mounted on the thrust plate and connected to a new integrated PLC.
Plant Optimization Project for an Alberta-based Manufacturer
SEED partnered with another company to assess a local manufacturer in Edmonton. We analyzed video data of two high volume lines and determined non-value added activities. Not only that but we took data of other production lines. We compiled our findings and produced reports outlining recommended improvements. We also produced multiple manufacturing layouts that would improve efficiency of the plant.
